“As a child, I used to cross the train tracks towards Costozza on my way to school. Every day, I'd walk through the gardens of a villa with an amazing room featuring floor-to-ceiling frescoes covered in images of Eolo, the god of wind. The names of the winds were carved into the walls depending on the direction from which they blew."
It was called the Villa Eolia (or the Casa dei Venti) due to its natural ventilation, and it was where Galileo supposedly hosted guests and started studying the dynamics of wind.
